There are different types of research.They were

1. Descriptive Vs. Analytical.
2. Applied Vs Fundamental.
3. Quantitative Vs. Empirical.

Descriptive Research
Descriptive research is used to describe characteristics of a situation, population or phenomenon being studied.

Researcher can’t control variables;


Analytical research
Analytical research is based on critical thinking and evaluation based of information which is available and deals with testing hypothesis.

Quantitative Research
It is based on the measurement of quantity / amount and applicable to phenomena that expressed in terms of quantity.

Qualitative Research
Qualitative research deals with analyzing non-numerical data which is present and is used to generate new ideas for research.



Conceptual Research
Conceptual Research deals with abstract idea(s) or theory and used by thinking people to develop new concepts or to update the old.

Empirical Research
Empirical research is based on experience / observation to come up with conclusions which are used for verifying the experiment.
